‘Se kunsten med nye ører’, or ‘Lend art your ear’, is the second release from Jakob Davidsens Kammerat Orkester, and the follower to the first Danish Music Award winning CD from 2011.

ʻLend art your earʼ is a project where Jakob Davidsens Kammerat Orkester interprets art. It can be paintings, sculptures, installations, or rooms, and the music can be written-through, lightly sketched, or totally improvised, all according to what the specific piece of art requires. On this release there are artistic reflections originating from two projects at The J. F. Willumsen Museum in Frederikssund, Denmark, and the National Gallery of Denmark in Copenhagen. And then finally a fantasy on Asger Jorns ʻStalingradʼ from Museum Jorn in Silkeborg.

25th of september 8pm: concert at Jazzhouse Montmartre, Copenhagen.
26th of september 8pm: concert at Huset, Aalborg. Apart from a set of Kammerat-music this evening will also offer a meeting between poetry and music with Danish poet Kasper Anthoni and Jakob Davidsens Kammerat Orkester.

28th + 29th of september: CD-recording. Jakob Davidsens Kammerat Orkester will record music made from art. In may 2011 and 2012 Jakob Davidsens Kammerat Orkester made two exciting projects, where they played their musical versions of selected pieces of art at J. F. Willumsens Museum in Frederikssund and The National Gallery of Denmark in Copenhagen. The best form these two projects will be recorded, and the CD will come out in march 2013.

20th to 24th of october: Concerts in Paris with the french drummer, Francois Merville. Programme will follow shortly.

*Tuesday the 10th of July 4pm at Sankt Jakobs kirke, Østerbrogade 59, Copenhagen
*Wednesday the 11th of July 3pm outdoors at Graabrødre Torv, Copenhagen

This day the new display of Danish and International Art after 1900 opens at the National Gallery of Denmark, and the band has been asked to play their musical versions of 6 selected pieces of art. A potent mixture of art and music.

It starts live in front of the selected pieces of art at 12.30 and continues at the stage at 14h with music and videoprojection.
